Women and youth driving green economies through agribusiness

We link livelihoods to climate action by supporting youth and women to build eco-friendly enterprises through sustainable agriculture, green innovation, and climate-smart entrepreneurship.

At IGAC, we recognize that the climate crisis is also a livelihood crisis. We promote resilient, regenerative economic models that restore ecosystems, improve food security, and generate income in ways that benefit both people and the planet.

Our Key Green Livelihood Initiatives

  • Climate-Smart Agribusiness Development – Promoting regenerative farming, agroecology, and inclusive value chains.
  • Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development – Supporting youth and women with business incubation and green start-up support.
  • Financial Inclusion & VSLAs – Enhancing access to savings, credit, and financial literacy for rural households.
  • Market Systems Development – Linking farmers and producer groups to sustainable markets.
  • Youth Talent Development – Nurturing innovation in the green economy through mentorship and skills training.

By linking green innovation to local opportunity,
we aim to

• Empower women and youth as drivers of inclusive green economies
• Transition subsistence farming to regenerative, income-generating agribusiness
• Promote eco-friendly enterprises that reduce environmental pressure
• Build resilience to climate and economic shocks
• Enhance market access and financial literacy at the grassroots
