Our History

Dignity and prosperity

I Grow Africa Centre (IGAC) was founded on the belief that climate resilience starts with grassroots leadership. Inspired by community members working in vulnerable rural landscapes, IGAC emerged to empower women and youth as environmental stewards and innovators. What began as local action now thrives as a climate movement—anchored in eco-conscious development, rooted in nature-based solutions, guided by inclusive community participation.

Today, IGAC stands as a growing African organization committed to empowering local communities, restoring ecosystems, and transforming livelihoods—while championing climate action as the driving force behind each initiative

Our Goals

IGAC’s goal is to become a leading voice in Africa for locally driven climate action, linking sustainable livelihoods, ecosystem restoration, and inclusive governance under a unified mission. We aim to integrate climate solutions into everyday life—from green agribusiness and nature-based WASH systems to skills training and women- and youth-led entrepreneurship.

We envision a future where sustainable practices are embraced across sectors—where education, markets, policies, and livelihoods all reinforce resilience, inclusion, and ecological restoration. By raising awareness, influencing decisions, and driving investments in climate-responsive innovation, IGAC seeks to mobilize collective action that transforms communities and ecosystems now—and for future generations.
